Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Synapl platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Synapl provides a clinical assessment intelligence platform for discovering, comparing, and evaluating assessments, outcome measures, and psychometric instruments. The platform is intended for research and informational use and is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Some features of the platform require a paid subscription. Fees are billed in advance according to the plan you select. You may cancel or change your plan at any time through your billing settings. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in a specific offer.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the platform to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) infringe intellectual property rights; (c) upload harmful code or content; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access; or (e) use the platform for patient diagnosis or treatment decisions without appropriate clinical oversight.
6. Intellectual Property
Synapl and its licensors retain all rights to the platform, including its software, designs, and content created by Synapl. You retain ownership of data you upload, and you grant Synapl a limited license to process that data solely to provide the service to you.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your access to the service will cease, subject to our data retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for accuracy, Synapl does not guarantee that the information in the platform is complete, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Always rely on qualified professionals for clinical decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Synapl and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. For users in the United States, Czech Republic, Spain, and other jurisdictions, any mandatory local consumer protection laws that cannot be disclaimed will apply. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, in the courts located in the jurisdiction of Synapl's principal place of business.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the platform or by email. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
